Stephen Macomber
I bring nearly two decades of experience leading large, complex organizations in high-stakes environments — including directing a 190+ person technical department and overseeing a $65M technology portfolio. Today, my work focuses on technology strategy and cybersecurity governance — helping leaders bring structure, visibility, and resilience to complex environments. Earlier in my career, I was also successful as an operational leader and as a regional manager leading recruiting operations, and I’ve led lifesaving operations where clear communication and steady decision-making matter.
I combine that experience with rigorous business and analytics training: an MBA (University of Florida) and a Master of Science in Business Intelligence & Analytics, plus advanced certifications across cybersecurity governance, cloud, IT service management, and program delivery — including CISSP and PMP. Today I advise founders and leadership teams through Maco Strategy LLC and co-founded Tailwind Behavior Services.
On the coaching side, I’ve completed 40 hours of coaching education through the Flatter Leadership Academy and I’m actively working toward the ICF ACC credential. That matters because it anchors our work in the International Coaching Federation’s competency framework and ethics — emphasizing clear agreements, powerful questions, active listening, client-led goals, and measurable progress.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me focused on fitness and triathlons, tending a vegetable garden, or relaxing with my family.
